Your Role in Therapy
Good therapy happens when you are ready to do the necessary work. Your role in therapy is to:
Have the desire to grow and adapt
Willingness to be open and truthful, self observing and reflective
Open-minded, flexible, adaptable and accountable
My Role As Your Therapist
While each encounter with a new client is unique, my role as a therapist is to be:
Understanding and accepting,
Empathetic, encouraging and sometimes challenging
Foster hope and nourish the belief of growth and change
Stimulate and support your course of action
Length of Therapy
Therapy is not an end in itself, but rather a process you adopt and use in the pursuit of your identified goals
The length of therapy can vary depending on your specific needs and circumstances
Brief solution-focused therapy can last 6 to 8 sessions
Deeper exploration can last several months to a year
1-2 sessions is not enough for true self development
